My main purpose in the military is to protect my country and its people from the threat of other countries and to provide support to our citizens during times of crisis such as natural disasters. Just becuase im a soldier doesnt mean im a war mongering blood thirsty dog. I serve by the words of Sun Tzu. "if you long for peace you must prepare for war". Thats what my service mrans to me, regardless of what anyone else has to say about it.

Afghanistan? The Taliban said they would turn over Osama if we provided proof he was involved in planning 9/11. Iraq? There were no WMDs. Libya? Yemen? Pakistan? Somalia? Uganda? How many countries half a world away does the US have to invade to "protect our freedoms"?

2011-10-15 [Susie-Q]: Regardless of what the gov't sends me to do or claims im being sent to do, i am fighting for my own reasons. Im fighting for many things. Every american citizen deserves to freely be who they are and express it openly without fear.  I serve those who dont have the abiltiy to speak for themsleves. If i have to give my life for that cause i can accept that. My friends know to let it be known what i died fighting for. I promote acceptence at my unit and among any other military personel that i come in contact with. That is true patriatism right there. If you have an issue with the gov't and the way they are doing things, fine, but dont you fucking dare stand against so many brave and decent men and women who fight and die for their beliefs. You dont have to agree with the gov't to be and outstanding military service indiviual
